Interaction Design addicted!

I started working on mobile interaction design in the 2008 at University of Salerno (Italy). In 2012 I received the PhD after defending the thesis entitled "Designing Usable Mobile Interfaces".

I am firmly convinced that interaction design is a value-added in any modern project and that it can realistically help people to improve their lives.

This is one of my favorite research topics: I study how to foster people participation in their community life.  I exploit the technologies they love and make their experiences enjoyable through gamification.

Museums are perceiving themselves more as experience providers than as object exhibitors. I am laying the foundations for creating non-intrusive Augmented Reality experiences in the cultural heritage context.

Augmented Reality is quickly taking the spot in different contexts such as education, cultural heritage, training, health care, etc... However, there is still the lack of easy tools to make people to easily use it. In my works, I care about non-programmer users who want to generate AR experiences for their purposes.

Modern smartphones embed several sensors such as GPS receivers, Wi-Fi, accelerometers or cameras that could transform users into well-equipped human sensors. I design and experiment applications to exploit this new user's characteristic

My teaching courses are about user-centered design and evaluation techniques in pervasive and ubiquitous computing domains. They are mainly focused for IT bachelor and master programs. Currently, I am teaching Interactive Systems Design and Design and Evaluation of Interactive Products at UC3M as Assistant Professor.

Currently, I am Assistant Professor at University of Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), Spain

I've been member of high quality international research labs
